The German tour operator Neckermann Reisen, which will enter the Nordic market under the Neckermann Nordic brand at the end of 2024, wants to recapture the essence of the historic brand so dear to entrepreneurs and tourism personnel on Gran Canaria, created by Josef Neckermann in 1963, and has strengthened the south of Gran Canaria on the occasion of Herning la Ferie for Alle, the largest travel fair in Denmark and one of the largest in the Nordic region with more than 1.000 exhibitors. The company did the same at the Matka travel fair in Helsinki last January. Neckermann Nordic offers a wide selection of favourite destinations such as Hurghada, southern Gran Canaria and Dubai at the fair. Berk Ercan, Managing Director of Neckermann Nordic, says: “Denmark is an important market for us and Ferie for Alle gives us a fantastic opportunity to meet customers and introduce ourselves as a new player in the Nordic region.” Neckermann Nordic was launched in September 2024 and offers trips from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland to Gran Canaria. “Our experiences at Matka reinforced our belief in the importance of travel fairs, as all our sales are done digitally via our website and phone. That’s why we see Ferie for Alle as the perfect opportunity to build a personal relationship with our Danish customers,” adds Berk.
During the fair, the Neckermann Nordic team will be on hand to advise visitors and help them book trips. Guests who book their trip at the fair will also benefit from special discounts. In addition, a competition will be held in which participants will have the chance to win a trip to one of Neckermann Nordic's exciting destinations.
