Following the example of Easyjet Holidays and Jet2Holidays, Eurowings (EW) is also entering the tour operator business and intends to operate its own tour operator from 1 April under the name Eurowings Holidays, from which day it begins to provide coverage to the south of Gran Canaria. The project has been largely driven by Michael Erfert, sales director of Eurowings and EW Digital, who has admitted that the alliance with HLX Touristik has not taken off.
Departure airports are mainly located in Germany, but the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland are also departure points. Flights from other well-known airlines can also be booked and combined with Eurowings flights. Customer-friendly cancellation conditions allow cancellation up to 14 days before departure for a fee of 50 euros. The travel agency pays half of this fee.
