San Bartolomé de Tirajana is making progress in the modernisation of its infrastructure, meeting the expectations promised to tour operators and investors in the real estate sector. These results will be presented to operators and investors in Maspalomas at the ITB 2025 fair in Berlin, where a delegation from San Bartolomé de Tirajana will deploy an agenda to reinforce the image of compliance with the agenda and legal security. This renovation process, key to the tourism competitiveness of the area, responds to the need to improve the quality of services and attract new investments.
The council has carried out important improvement works on the road network, public spaces and tourist facilities, ensuring that the destination maintains its appeal for visitors and residents. Among the most notable actions are the renovation of the Maspalomas promenade, the modernisation of Avenida de Tirajana and the improvement of the sanitation system in key areas of the municipality.
These interventions have been key to strengthening the confidence of the main players in the tourism sector and the real estate market, who have supported the municipal initiative. The improvement of infrastructure facilitates the development of new hotel and residential projects, consolidating Maspalomas and its surroundings as a reference destination in the tourism and investment field.
The City Council has reaffirmed its commitment to strategic planning and sustainability, ensuring that the works meet the established quality standards and deadlines. With these actions, San Bartolomé de Tirajana not only meets its acquired commitments, but also strengthens its position as an economic engine of the south of Gran Canaria.
In addition, new actions have been planned for the coming years, including the expansion of the commercial area in Meloneras, the creation of new green spaces and leisure areas, and the improvement of the hotel infrastructure with incentives for the modernization of establishments. These plans seek to consolidate the attractiveness of the destination and maintain the pace of economic growth in the region.
