In 2025, José Acosta Matos, owner of the construction company of the same name in Las Palmas and owner of the Marieta hotel in Playa del Inglés, among others, was chosen for this award. The president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, underlined at the award ceremony the capacity for sacrifice of Medina and his wife, to whom the president of Cencosu Spar dedicated the award received.
