The Civil Guard has arrested a 35-year-old man in Vecindario, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, accused of attempted murder after trying to ram two people with his vehicle.
The victims reported that the driver of a grey car tried to run them over several times, providing videos in which the attack can be seen. The images were key to identifying the alleged perpetrator and the vehicle's license plate, which made it easier to locate him.
Given the dangerous nature of the situation, the Civil Guard launched an operation to arrest the suspect. The investigation revealed that the suspect is a neighbour of one of the victims and that there were previous conflicts between them.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction on Duty along with the corresponding proceedings.
