The company Datadron, specialised in drone services and with more than 20 years of experience, has carried out an exhaustive scan of the Charca de Maspalomas, mapping every millimetre of its surface. This initiative, at the request of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, has allowed obtaining precise data on the morphology of the seabed and the quality of the water, essential for the management and conservation of this natural environment.
The implementation of advanced technologies, such as underwater drones equipped with echo sounders, has facilitated the collection of detailed information without disturbing the Charca de Maspalomas ecosystem. This data is essential to develop effective conservation strategies and ensure the preservation of this valuable wetland for future generations.
The Datadron company is located in the Marine Maritime Innovation Centre (CIMM) managed by the Economic Promotion Society of Gran Canaria.
