A cyclist lost his life this afternoon after suffering a fall on the GC-200 road, near Los Azulejos, in Veneguera, municipality of Mogán
At 12:12 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting medical assistance for a cyclist who had had an accident on the aforementioned road.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) mobilised a medicalised ambulance and a medicalised helicopter, while a doctor and a nurse from the La Aldea Health Centre also went to the scene to provide assistance. Upon arrival, the paramedics confirmed that the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so they began resuscitation manoeuvres without success, certifying his death on the spot.
The Civil Guard took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
The emergency operation included the participation of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), which activated a medicalized ambulance and a medicalized helicopter. A doctor and a nurse from the La Aldea Health Center also intervened, as well as agents from the Civil Guard, in charge of the accident investigation.
