Between March 11 and 13, the Parliament of the Canary Islands will be the stage for the Debate on the State of the Canary Islands Nationality 2025, a crucial event in which the Government of the Canary Islands and the different political groups will present their views on the current situation of the archipelago.
During these three days, the parliamentary representatives will address issues of great interest to the Canary Islands, such as the structure of tourism in the south of Gran Canaria. The debate opens on Tuesday, March 11, with the intervention of the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, who will begin his speech at 11:30 a.m. and will have a maximum of 120 minutes to present his roadmap and commitments to improve the quality of life on the islands. The day will continue with the interventions of the parliamentary groups, which will have 40 minutes each to express their opinions. On Tuesday afternoon, it will be the turn of the Canarian Socialist Parliamentary Group, the New Canary Islands Parliamentary Group – Canarian Bloc and the Vox Parliamentary GroupPresident Clavijo may respond to interventions individually or jointly, and groups will have the right to reply.

On Wednesday 12 March, the second session will begin at 9:00 am, where the remaining parliamentary groups will speak, including the Canarian Nationalist Group, the Popular Group, the Gomera Socialist Group and the Mixed Group. The structure of the debate will remain similar to that of the first day, with time allocated for responses and replies.
Finally, on Thursday 13 March, the third day will focus on the resolution proposals that each parliamentary group will present. Each group will have a maximum of 30 minutes to defend their proposals, which will be voted on at the end of the interventions.
