The Fair will take place on the esplanade in front of the Museum – Behind Santa Catalina Park, between 09:00 a.m. and 14:00 p.m.
El The Elder Museum of Science and Technology celebrates its 25th anniversary Among the activities planned is a Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair. In conjunction with the Fair, admission to the Museum will be free during the fair's opening hours, and a program of activities will be held for all visitors.
Every food product is the result of a scientific process, where chemistry, biology, and physics combine to transform ingredients into flavors, textures, and nutrients that nourish our bodies and delight our senses. The science behind gastronomy transforms ingredients into sensory experiences, revealing the secrets of chemical and biological reactions that elevate food products to a new dimension of flavor and nutrition.
60 producers from 15 municipalities of Gran Canaria are participating in this Fair, with a broad representation of producers from the municipalities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria standing out on this occasion: Biocanarias Cooperative, Peña La Vieja Ice Cream, Sibarita Pasta Artesanal, La Milagrosa, Tortilidia, La Vegetería, Flor de Luna Pastry Shop, Somos la caña, Mederos Turrones, Zumísimo, Finca JhoVi, Genesis Desserts, Canary One and Paolí Mozzarella.
The Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair – Elder Museum is made possible thanks to: the Elder Museum of Science and Technology, the Local Development Department of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council, the Department of Economic Development, Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Gran Canaria Island Council, the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, Gran Canaria Tourism, Cajasiete and Gran Canaria Mosaico.
The Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair aims to boost the local economy, promote and raise awareness of local products, encourage sustainable habits and support those who help preserve the landscape.
