Yurena Almeida, new head of EFPA in the Canary Islands

EFPA Spain has appointed Yurena Almeida as the association's new territorial delegate for Las Palmas and Saúl Martín as the new territorial delegate for Santa Cruz de Tenerife. For the first time, the association will have two delegates specifically responsible for both provinces of the archipelago, which will allow it to bring services even closer to EFPA Spain members.

 

Currently, EFPA Spain has more than 1.000 certified advisors in the Canary Islands, with more than 480 in the province of Las Palmas and more than 560 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

 

The new territorial delegates' responsibilities include organizing seminars, conferences, and congresses held by EFPA Spain in both territories, as well as representing the association in each province, supporting associated professionals, and promoting financial literacy in the region. In addition, Yurena Almeida and Saúl Martín will join EFPA Spain's Member Services Committee.

 

Yurena Almeida has been developing her professional career as a financial advisor at Quöram Consulting and Training since 2023. She has also been part of PF Profesionales Financieros since 2014 as a financial consultant. Previously, she worked as a financial agent at Mapfre and was part of the CMMT team as a specialist in advisory and management services.

 

He holds a degree in Economics from UNED and holds the LCCI certifications from EFPA Spain, EFPA ESG Advisor, and EFA (European Financial Advisor). He also completed a Personal and Family Financial Planning course at the University of Florida.

 

Saúl Martín has been an executive at Quöram Consulting and Training since 2023. He has also worked as a financial consultant at PF Profesionales Financieros since 2006. Since 2022, he has been a financial agent at Allianz Global Investors and an insurance financial advisor at Allianz, in addition to being a member of the Board of the College of Insurance Mediators of Las Palmas. He also holds a Level 1 advanced insurance degree. Previously, he worked as a financial agent at Citibank Spain.

 

Saúl holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from UNED and holds EFA (European Financial Advisor), LCCI, and EFPA ESG Advisor certifications. He also holds a Master's degree in Business Creation and SME Management from the School of Industrial Organization.

 

Santiago Satrústegui, president of EFPA Spain, emphasized that "the addition of these two new delegates represents the association's commitment to the Canary Islands, to strengthen the work we do there and to support the more than 1.000 Canarian professionals who are members of EFPA Spain. From the association, we continue to focus on expanding our network throughout the country and working closely with all our members to contribute knowledge and enrich the financial industry in the Canary Islands."
