The eight participating floats filled the heart of Playa del Inglés with music and joy and moved the party to the Yumbo CC, which celebrated its first Daytime Carnival.
Thousands of people gathered at an event that is becoming a must-attend event for many families across the island.
Playa del Inglés' Avenida de Tirajana was filled with color on the morning of Sunday, March 23rd, with the Children's Parade. Already a success despite only having held three editions, the first one, held in 2019, was discontinued but was revived in 2024 by the Councilor for Tourism, Events, and Celebrations, Yilenia Vega, who also supported its integration with the innovative Daytime Carnival at the Yumbo Shopping Center. The synergy between the two events enabled the thousands of attendees to fully enjoy this first Carnival Sunday in the south.

Eight floats participated in the Parade: We Make Illusions, Reach for the Beach, Yellow Ghost, The Mushroom Kingdom, Arabian Nights of Aladdin in Mexico, Amicorum Planaxis, Ándale Pa´lante and Ajochina TownThese were followed to the rhythm of the music by families, where the little ones often wore costumes of Snow White, superheroes, Minnie Mouse, police officers, mariachis, unicorns, and princesses in general, to name a few of the most common.

The Children's Parade also featured the three award-winning girls from the Children's Pageant, along with several batucada groups, the murgas Los Legañositos and Los Chachitos, the Mini Tren de Playa del Inglés, popular Carnival characters such as El Escocés and Cantinflas, and the children's comparsas Lianceiros and Brisa de Volcán (which is now celebrating its twentieth anniversary). The Daytime Carnival featured performances by Las K-narias, Orquesta La Sabrosa, and DJs Toni Bob and Ruymán Melián, among others. Given today's events, all indications are that both events are here to stay.
