In the heart of Arguineguín, Gran Canaria, the launch of one of Europe's most ambitious medical and wellness facilities is underway: Kokoon Clinic Gran Canaria. Covering 1.000 m² and operating 24/7, this innovative center is set to open in May 2025, marking the beginning of a global network of cutting-edge clinics in the healthcare sector.
The company expects to serve 39 different patients per hour in a 1.000-square-meter facility. This may seem like a high density, especially considering that this includes complex procedures such as advanced diagnostics, stem cell therapies, and robotic surgeries. If we assume that each patient requires a significant amount of time, according to the WHO, of at least 23 minutes in a suitable physical space, maintaining this operation could prove challenging in terms of logistics, comfort, and quality of service.
The company has stated that it expects to "serve 343.250 patients per year," projecting revenues of €295,7 million and a net profit of €284,1 million in its first year of operation. Dividing 343.250 patients per year by 365 days, we get an average of approximately 941 patients per day.
A distinctive element of the project is its commitment to sustainability, as the facility is entirely powered by solar energy. Located on an island known for its sunny climate and tourist appeal, Kokoon Clinic presents itself not only as a medical center, but as a premium destination for global wellness.
Kokoon's plan goes beyond Gran Canaria. This model will be replicated globally, with the opening of identical clinics in each of the 50 states of the United States, with the goal of building a global healthcare empire valued at more than €17.000 billion. The launch of Kokoon Clinic Gran Canaria not only promises to transform medical tourism in the Canary Islands, but also places the region on the global map of medical innovation and luxury wellness. This ambitious and visionary project redefines the potential of medical tourism and opens the door to a new era in healthcare services worldwide. Gran Canaria, once again, positions itself as a protagonist on the international stage.
