Eleven companies participated in the competition organized by the Department of Commerce. The winner decorated the roundabout at the Canary Islands Gate on Alejandro del Castillo Avenue.
On Wednesday, Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez presented representatives of the Élite Real Estate company with the plaque certifying it as the winner of the 1st Municipal Roundabout Christmas Decoration Contest organized by the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.
The award was accepted by Ravi Chhabria and Daniel Mendoza, CEO and COO, respectively, of the Sonnenland-based real estate, architecture, investment, and financing services firm.
The roundabout that ultimately won the award was the Canary Portal roundabout, located on Alejandro del Castillo Avenue at the intersection with Islas Canarias Street. Its decoration was based primarily on animal figures and, above all, the colorful projection of numerous and different lighting effects with Christmas motifs.
The competition was sponsored by the Department of Commerce, headed by the Eighth Deputy Mayor, Araceli Armas Cruz, to support and encourage business and commercial activity during the Christmas season. Eleven companies participated in this first competition, with a popular voting period from December 26th to January 6th, held online via the municipal website. The competition featured the design of twelve roundabouts on the municipal road network.
