The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a warning for strong gusts of wind in the mountains and southeastern areas, along with moderate rain and variable cloud cover throughout the day.
The AEMET (Meteorological Agency) has announced adverse weather conditions in Gran Canaria this Wednesday, April 2, particularly in the south and southeast of the island, where strong wind gusts are expected, reaching 100 km/h in high altitudes and 70 km/h in mid- and low-lying areas.
Cloudy skies are forecast in the southwest of the island, with a chance of moderate rain, while the rest of the island is expected to experience cloudy periods that will increase throughout the morning, with scattered light showers possible. The day will end with clearing skies, especially in coastal areas.

Temperatures will not experience major changes, although a slight to moderate rise in maximum temperatures is expected in the northeast.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated a yellow wind warning for the east, south and west of Gran Canaria, effective from 07:00 a.m. to 22:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3. Wind gusts from the west-southwest are expected, which could reach 70 kilometers per hour, affecting the southeast side of the island with greater intensity, especially in exposed areas of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and surrounding areas.
Emergency services and civil protection recommend caution when traveling on roads, especially in high-altitude areas, and avoid outdoor activities in windy areas.
This forecast has been confirmed by the AEMET Canary Islands in its official bulletin, within the framework of the Meteocan Plan for action in the event of adverse weather events.
