The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council is strengthening its municipal services with new, state-of-the-art vehicles. The Gran Canaria Medianías Association (Mancomunidad de Medianías), based in San Mateo and served as secretary to Tania Naya Orgeira, has facilitated the purchase of three new vehicles from Toyota in Las Palmas to improve the provision of basic municipal services. These vehicles are two plug-in hybrid SUVs and an all-terrain vehicle, with a total investment of €148.425,37, including taxes.
The award, carried out through a negotiated, non-public procedure, was notable for the savings achieved for the municipal coffers, reaching a total of €22.885,73 thanks to the negotiated terms. The winning vehicles include: two RAV4 hybrids for €78.796,48 (exempt from IGIC), with a delivery time reduced by 12 weeks; and a 4x4 F4 Opal off-road vehicle for €69.629,04, plus €9.181,85 in IGIC, with a delivery time optimized by 32 weeks.
Both lots include a three-year warranty and a commitment to improved after-sales service times. The City Council has required the successful bidder to provide a final guarantee of 5% of the offered price, equivalent to €7.421,28, to formalize the award of the contracts. The new vehicles will be available within a maximum of eight months from the signing of the administrative contract, with the stipulated discounts on delivery weeks.
