An 18-year-old man was stabbed in a public street in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, in southeastern Gran Canaria. The incident required the mobilization of several medical and police resources.
An 18-year-old man has sustained moderate injuries after being attacked with a knife on La Paredilla Street, in the Gran Canaria municipality of Santa Lucía. The incident occurred at 16:42 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025, according to the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) treated the victim at the scene. The young man suffered stab wounds to the neck and was stabilized by the medical team before being transported in a medically equipped ambulance to the Gran Canaria University Hospital.
CECOES 112 immediately activated the necessary resources after receiving an alert requesting urgent medical assistance for a person assaulted in a public street. A medical ambulance and a medical ambulance from the SUC (Uninstitutional Emergency Unit), as well as Local Police and Civil Guard officers, arrived at the scene.
The security forces took charge of the corresponding investigations to clarify what happened.
