The Nos Movemos Foundation, a non-profit organization linked to the 1844 Group—a leading provider of land transportation for tourists in southern Gran Canaria—continues to consolidate its role as an agent of social change in the archipelago. Its mission is to contribute to the development of Canarian society through programs focused on children, disability, employability, volunteering, and talent development.

This April, a meeting was held with María Fernández Pérez, Director General of Transport for the Ministry of Public Works, Housing, and Mobility of the Canary Islands Government, to discuss potential collaboration between the regional government and the Nos Movemos Foundation. Óscar Díaz, the foundation's president, also participated in the meeting.

One of its most emblematic programs is "Employment on Wheels," an initiative that provides training and job placement in the transportation sector to people in vulnerable situations, including women victims of gender-based violence. This initiative not only responds to a market need for a shortage of professional drivers, but also opens up new job opportunities for groups with difficulties accessing employment.

In addition, the foundation promotes projects such as "Solidarity Transport," which offers free transportation services to social organizations, and actively participates in campaigns to collect solidarity bottle caps and donations for food banks and other humanitarian causes.
