The Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair will be held on April 26 and 27 in the Plaza de la Candelaria in Ingenio, from 09:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.
Ingenio is the pioneering municipality in holding the Km.O Gran Canaria Fair, having hosted the first edition in December 2020, at a time of enormous difficulty for society in general and producers in particular.
This year's Fair will feature 50 producers from 15 municipalities, 7 of which are located in Ingenio.
Cheese, in all its varieties, will be one of the highlights of the Fair, with six cheese factories from the island present. Visitors can also find bread, gluten-free and vegan pastries, salt, wine, honey, fruits and vegetables, mushrooms, vegetable pâtés, jams, free-range eggs, chorizo, aloe vera, artisanal pasta, and artisanal ice cream.
In parallel to the Km.O Gran Canaria Fair, several activities are being held that will turn Ingenio into a "good plan" for the weekend:
Craftsmen's Showcase of the Villa de Ingenio.
Km.O and Tourism. Fair visitors can also enjoy guided tours of Ingenio's Historic Center, allowing them to discover the beautiful and unknown corners of this municipality.
The tours will take place at 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30 on both Saturday and Sunday. The tours are free. To participate, simply sign up at the Fair's welcome stand.
Once again, the fair features a culinary program with the participation of numerous local restaurants. Those interested can enjoy traditional bread soup at Taberna La Candelaria, Restaurante El Cumbrero, Tasca la Ermita, Bar Cafeteria Ca Elisa, El Muellito Burrero, Sociedad de Carrizal, and Ca' Gonzalo.
Live music in some venues around Plaza de la Candelaria.
Activities for children.
On Sunday, April 27, the Ingenio Choirs and Dances are organizing "Dance Day" in celebration of World Dance Day. This celebration aims to raise awareness about the many benefits of practicing any type of dance.
This edition of the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair is promoted by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Crafts of the Ingenio City Council and has the collaboration of the Department of Economic Development, Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Gran Canaria Island Council, the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, Gran Canaria Tourism, Cajasiete, and Gran Canaria Mosaico.
