The first deputy mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Alejandro Marichal, confirmed this Wednesday that the start of construction on Siam Park in the municipality will take at least two years, provided the deadlines set by the Canary Islands government are met.
"The Canary Islands Government is processing the modernization plan, and once approved—we hope before the end of the legislative period—the City Council will automatically and expeditiously process the development project and grant the corresponding license," Marichal explained.
Speaking on the program A buenas horas (A buenas horas) with José Luis Martín, the council member argued that the council has "the political will and a clear roadmap" to bring the project to fruition as soon as possible, but stressed that the timing now depends on the regional government.
"Therefore, if the government meets the planned deadlines, there are still at least two years of processing time before the start of construction on Siam Park in San Bartolomé de Tirajana becomes a reality," he stated.
