Today we celebrate real mothers: those who raise, work, study, burn out, and still keep going. Today's mother is no longer just the one who waits, but also the one who leads, decides, and reinvents herself every morning. With or without a partner, with or without a safety net, she has learned to balance workdays, schoolwork, family care, and personal goals. Motherhood is no longer just a matter of silent sacrifice, but of a daily struggle for a place of her own in a society still burdened by many prejudices.

There are also grandmothers, those mothers twice over, who raised children through hard work, sewing, land, or factories, without holidays or work-life balance. They paved the way for their daughters and granddaughters to dream of something more. And second mothers, who don't always carry that title, but who have sustained homes and loved ones when no one else could. Being a mother, in all its forms, isn't always the same; it's what has had to be built by elbows to make a name for oneself. Today is a day to say thank you, but also to remember that there's still a long way to go before caregiving ceases to be an invisible burden and becomes a shared right.
