An accident that occurred this Sunday in the municipality of Mogán left two people injured, one of them in critical condition, after a head-on collision on a road in southern Gran Canaria.
A serious traffic accident occurred at 12:39 p.m. on the GC-200 highway, between the Veneguera intersection and the Las Niñas Dam, resulting in two serious injuries. The accident occurred after a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle, according to the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2.

As a result of the impact, a man suffered severe multiple injuries and was evacuated by medical helicopter from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to the Gran Canaria University Hospital. A woman also suffered severe multiple injuries and was transported to the same hospital in an advanced life support ambulance.

Civil Guard, Local Police, Mogán Civil Protection, and SUC medical resources were deployed to the scene of the accident, including a basic life support ambulance, a medical ambulance, and a medical helicopter. The Civil Guard initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
