There will be a choral gathering, a cooking contest, an agricultural week, a Non Trubada concert, and a pilgrimage.

Sardina del Sur celebrates the San Isidro Labrador festivities from May 10th to 18th. The Sardina Neighborhood Association, in collaboration with the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council, has prepared an extensive program of festivities that includes a choir gathering, a cooking contest, children's parties, open-air dances, Primary Sector Week, a performance by Non Trubada, and a pilgrimage.

 

On Saturday, May 10th, at 7.30:20 p.m., the opening speech for the festivities will be given by Bar Perico, the oldest member of the choir. At 21.30:XNUMX p.m., the XNUMXth Choral Gathering will feature performances by the Casa de Cantabria Choir, the Mares de Ingenio Choir, the Arenales District Center Choir, the Arucas Polyphonic Choir, and the Flor de Oroval Polyphonic Choir. At XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the Scala Hifi Tu cara me suena will perform.

 

On Sunday, May 11th, at 11.15:19 a.m., there will be a Grand Water Party with inflatables and a foam party. At 12:14 p.m., the inauguration of Juan Francisco Vega Alvarado's painting exhibition will take place at the Sardina Cultural Center (formerly a chapel). On Monday, May 18th, there will be a Senior Dance with the group Yeray y Lolino, and a recognition ceremony for Juanita Peña Hernández and Patrocinio Arbelo Alvarado. On Wednesday, May 16th, at 17:21 p.m., a Cooking Competition is scheduled, with prizes awarded for the best ropa vieja (old clothes). On Friday, May XNUMXth, in the afternoon, there will be a children's party with inflatables starting at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. At XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., there will be a concert by Non Trubada in the former chapel.

 

Agricultural Week

 On Saturday, the Ofrenda Pilgrimage will take place through the town's streets, departing at 19 p.m. from the parking lot in front of the Policarpo Báez school. On Sunday morning, there will be a livestock exhibition, and at 14 p.m., there will be a popular paella. 

 

The program of events also includes Primary Sector Week at the old Sardina hermitage on Tuesday, May 13 (dedicated to papaya cultivation), Wednesday, May 14 (presentations on the Canary Island cow), and Thursday, May 15 (Institutional Ceremony in recognition of men and women who worked in the fields).
