The City Council congratulated the Canary Islands Air Command (MACAN) and on its behalf the Division General Juan Pablo Sánchez de Lara, for the festival of the Patroness of the Army Our Lady of Loreto, which held the commemorative event on Friday, December 10 at the Gando Air Base.

On December 14, at 20:00 p.m., in the concert performed by the Music Unit of the Canary Islands Air Command, you will be able to enjoy a very varied repertoire, where its members will perform, at the Cultural Center of San Fernando de Maspalomas, the typical carols of these Christmas holidays.
The Music Unit of the Canary Islands Air Command celebrated this year the fiftieth anniversary of its foundation and, as a commemoration, the 41 musicians of the band will perform at the Cultural Center of the municipality with the most Christmas songs under the baton of Lieutenant David Llano .
Since its birth, this Music Unit, belonging to the Air Force, has actively participated in both social and educational projects, by carrying out sociocultural concerts in residences for the elderly and educational concerts in different primary and secondary education centers, showing a special commitment to the Canarian educational system.
It also takes part in traditional celebrations and local festivities through its concerts and parades, since it is heir to the Canarian tradition, where society and band have walked hand in hand since its creation.
