Their commitment to attracting and retaining talent has led Cofarte, Domingo Alonso Group, and Lopesan to become finalists in the 15th edition of the Canary Islands HR Excellence Awards, in the category that recognizes organizations' ability to build motivating, sustainable work environments aligned with professional growth. The jury particularly valued the loyalty and development strategies implemented by these organizations. The award will be presented on May XNUMXth at a ceremony supported by organizations such as Grant Thornton Canarias, The Adecco Group, Wolters Kluwer, and Link Soluciones Informáticas, among other institutional partners.

In the case of Lopesan, one of the leading tourism groups in the Canary Islands, its human resources strategy has pivoted in recent years toward a model focused on active employee listening, continuous learning, and fostering internal talent. From the creation of its Lopesan University program, focused on internal training and promotion, to the implementation of workplace wellness, work-life balance, and emotional health plans, the group has strengthened a corporate culture based on stability, professional growth, and continuous improvement. Furthermore, it has implemented direct communication channels between employees and management teams and has taken significant steps toward equality and diversity in the workplace.

The Lopesan Group, through its Human Resources department, has placed the training and development of its employees as one of the company's essential pillars, an aspect already highlighted in 2023 by the General Manager of the Hotel Division, José Alba, who noted that "by organizing these types of courses, we manage to stay at the forefront of trends in an extraordinarily competitive sector, such as the tourism sector, in addition to boosting the professional skills of each of our teams." For her part, the Director of Organization and Human Resources of the Lopesan Group, Paula Cantero, placed special emphasis on the 120 training initiatives that the company has developed during 2022, allowing 3.200 people to increase their knowledge in different areas relevant to their professional performance.
