Tirajana is left without the Three Kings Parade

PP-AV Press Saturday, December 11, 2021

The government group of San Bartolomé de Tirajana announces that it will not have a Three Kings Parade

From PP-AV we describe the current decision of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana government group to suspend the Three Kings Parade as a decision supported once again by the constant improvisation experienced by the municipal government. Knowing and being perfectly aware of the situation we are experiencing, they have not worked on organizing a Three Kings parade that adapts to the new circumstances.

“It was perfectly known that the scenario to celebrate it was not going to be easy, but it had to be thought about and worked on in accordance with the competent health authorities and all possible scenarios should be considered,” said the spokesperson, Elena Álamo Vega.

“We also do not understand how they are betting on private and public events that have been held and that encourage the meeting of many people where it seems that the measures to be taken into account have been different. Or events scheduled for December 26, which go ahead and suspend the parade that should take place on January 5, there cannot be a double standard.”

“The Gran Canaria-Maspalomas Marathon was recently held, in which the City Council went to the trouble of painting blue stripes on public roads and then sloppily erasing them, but they are not able to think and look for alternatives for a parade that is the enthusiasm of the children,” stressed the PP-AV spokesperson.

PP-AV is incredulous at programming that attempts to cover a minimum file, without considering that the true essence of Christmas is for the enjoyment of children and families in general. It seems that organizing something quick and comfortable like a performance is the path chosen by the governing group, without bothering and getting involved in the real work of an organization such as a parade, where in addition, sports, cultural groups and associations were always involved with his good work.

The negligence of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana government group is so alarming that once again they give us a blow with these types of decisions because they do not want to work.

The most anticipated night throughout the year for the little ones and families is cancelled.

One cannot play with the enthusiasm of the children of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, concludes Elena Álamo.
