Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), the largest owner of holiday hotels in southern Gran Canaria and owned by Blackstone, has once again entrusted Lemon Sistemi with the installation of two photovoltaic systems at resorts managed by Mangia's Resorts & Clubs in Sardinia. This involves a 219 kWp solar plant at MClub Marmorata, whose construction began in May, and a 73 kWp plant, operational since April at TUI Blue Budoni. These installations complete the agreement signed in 2023 by HIP, Aeroviaggi (Mangia's parent company), and Lemon Sistemi to develop five solar systems at resorts in Sicily and Sardinia, totaling over 800 kWp.
The alliance between HIP and Aeroviaggi, materialized through a joint venture created in 2021, includes an investment of €85 million to transform six beachfront hotels into sustainable, high-end properties. Mangia's, with 13 properties on the islands, continues to lead its energy transition with solutions that reinforce its commitment to ESG criteria. "This collaboration consolidates our goal of making our Resorts and Clubs increasingly sustainable," emphasized Marcello Mangia, President and CEO of the hotel group.
Lemon Sistemi, a specialist in energy efficiency solutions and photovoltaic systems, is consolidating its position as a strategic partner for sustainable tourism. Founded in Palermo and listed on Euronext Growth Milan, the company closed 2023 with net revenue of €13,9 million and recently launched another 1,2 MW solar project in Ragusa for Mondial Granit. “Our ability to execute efficiently and quickly reinforces the trust of our clients and allows us to remain a leader in the sector,” said Maria Laura Spagnolo, the firm's co-CEO.
