The Canary Islands government will allocate €1,5 million to promote a faster and more sustainable construction model for a social housing development in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The Minister of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, Pablo Rodríguezhas announced a €1,5 million investment to develop an industrialized social housing project in Juan Grande, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The announcement was made during a visit to the Canary Islands-based company EasyHome, which specializes in this type of construction, accompanied by Javier Terán, the managing director of VISOCAN. The objective will be to integrate this type of housing into the public housing stock, after having already requested the corresponding land from the City Council.
These social housing units will be characterized by their rapid and efficient construction. Thanks to the industrialized system, each unit can be completed within 6 to 10 days, using factory-prefabricated modular structures that are then assembled on-site. This method will not only reduce construction times but also ensure high thermal, acoustic, and energy performance.
