The 2025 San Fernando Patron Saint Festivities will feature a very special edition this year: the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of a celebration deeply rooted in the municipality, as announced by Yilenia Vega, Councilor for Festivities and Events of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, at the press conference held with Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez to present the program of events to the media. "The program stands out for its variety, its connection to popular traditions, and its strong commitment to music and citizen participation," Vega emphasized during her speech.

The festivities will officially begin on Thursday, May 22nd at 20:30 p.m. with the traditional opening speech in San Fernando Square. This year, the event will pay tribute to Roque and his brother Andrés, beloved residents for their historical connection to El Poblado, after opening the first "Oil and Vinegar" store. The event will evoke a time when local businesses not only supplied basic goods such as food and household items, but also served as a meeting point for the neighborhood's social life.

On Friday, May 23rd, it will be the turn of young people with the celebration of Magua Fest, organized by the Department of Events. The event begins at 21:00 PM in Plaza de San Fernando, where artists such as NICKZZY, Wos Las Palmas, Killian Viera, and many more will perform. The urban music and youthful energy will continue until 04:30 AM. That same day, in Plaza del Poblado, the traditional Masparranda will take place, an authentic Canarian revelry with tastings of local products and folklore performed by local groups.

On Saturday, May 24th, starting at 18:30 pm, the Pilgrimage-Offering will be held in honor of San Fernando, which debuts a new route this year. The day will conclude with a grand concert by international artist Edwin Rivera at 23:00 pm in the Plaza de San Fernando, followed by a street party with the La Sabrosa Orchestra and DJ Yunes. The following day, Sunday, May 25th, the Gala for the Election of the Children and Youth Queen will be held, a day dedicated to the little ones, who will also be able to enjoy bouncy castles and dynamic games throughout the morning.

Throughout the week, there will be numerous activities aimed at all audiences. On Monday the 26th, there will be a half-priced ride, drum and trumpet workshops, and a domino tournament. On Tuesday the 50th, Noise-Free Day will be celebrated, with the fair adapted for people with high sensory sensitivity, with no music or noise. Also on that day, at 27:20 p.m., seniors will be honored with a gala in Plaza de San Fernando, where the Adult Queen will be chosen and the evening will close with the group Los Brillantes.

On Thursday, May 29th, at 20:00 PM, the Choreographic Festival will take place, featuring the municipality's dance schools. The event will conclude with the Canary Islands Day Eve Concert, featuring performances by Con Poco Band, Fijo Discontinuo, Aseres, and DJ J. Marre.

Friday, May 30th, Canary Islands Day, will begin at 10:00 a.m. with traditional games, followed by the popular Fish Barbecue at 14:00 p.m. in the San Fernando School parking lot (Maspalomas I). At 15:00 p.m., the Solajer festival will be led by Paco Guedes. The XNUMXth Umiaya Folklore Festival will also be held, bringing together groups such as Surco y Arado, Aulaga and CB Anzar, Aragones de Agüimes, Umiaya, El Cura, El Pajullo, and Los Chanos.

This weekend, a market area will open with a craft market and local products next to the avenue in front of the Church of San Fernando. Various sports tournaments will also be held. On Saturday, May 31st, at 21:30 pm, Miss Grand Las Palmas will be held, followed by a performance by Última Llave and a dawn party featuring Leyenda Joven, DJ Ardy, and Star Music.

The festivities will culminate on Sunday, June 1, with a concert by Ángel López at 21:00 p.m. in Plaza de San Fernando, the culmination of more than ten days of cultural, religious, sporting, and leisure activities.

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council encourages all citizens and visitors to the municipality to join in the festivities, which, in their 60th anniversary, celebrate the value of tradition, the drive for modernity, and the power of popular participation. The Councilor for Festivities and Events, Yilenia Vega, emphasized that "this anniversary should reflect the pride of an entire town in its identity, its culture, and its people; an opportunity to celebrate who we are and strengthen the sense of belonging that unites us." For his part, Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez recalled the origins of this celebration: “The construction of the village began in 1961, and with it, the awakening of tourism in Maspalomas. Just four years later, in May 1965, the San Fernando festivities began, when the neighborhood had dirt roads and a few newly arrived residents, but with surnames that are now living history: the Rodríguez family, the Franco family, the Vega family… It was they who took on the challenge of organizing festivities that have not only endured but continue to grow with a view to the future. These celebrations are a symbol of unity, where entire generations have shared unforgettable moments and where we continue to build community through joy and coexistence.”
