The French company Veolia, a global leader in decarbonization, the circular economy, and resource optimization, is expanding its presence in the Canary Islands with the acquisition of Electrimega, a company owned by Emilio Medina, specializing in electrification, air conditioning, and fire protection, with 180 employees. It is a leader in the tourism sector in southern Gran Canaria.
This strategic move, aligned with its GreenUp program, strengthens its ability to offer sustainable energy solutions and consolidates its role in the archipelago's ecological transformation. Emilio Medina notes that "our integration with Veolia opens up new opportunities for us nationally, but especially in the Canary Islands. We are consolidating our position in the electrification sector and now have greater resources to offer advanced solutions to our customers."
With more than three decades of experience in the Canary Islands, Electrimega brings to Veolia a workforce of more than 180 experts in the development of comprehensive and efficient projects. The acquisition marks a milestone in Veolia's commitment to sustainability in Gran Canaria, strengthening its capacity to implement technologies that promote energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. Francisco Villalobos, General Manager of Veolia Spain, highlighted the importance of this acquisition: "The incorporation of Electrimega allows us to strengthen our growth strategy, consolidating our commitment to innovative solutions in electrification and energy efficiency.
