The boys and girls became artists throughout Sunday morning
The Youth Department of the City Council organized, on Sunday, December 12, a painting workshop with marine themes for all the boys and girls along with those young people who wanted to participate, with all the security measures against Covid, on the CEIP esplanade Santa Águeda and in the Plaza del Barrio El Pajar.
Under the guidelines of local artist, Manuel Encinoso, workshop participants were able to learn different urban painting techniques. The decoration of the floors with spray and brush made circular panels with marine elements, such as whales and dolphins, shine on the esplanades of the neighborhood.
For the Youth Councilor, Irasema Hernández, “we have chosen the marine theme because El Pajar is one of the coastal areas of the municipality and we wanted the boys and girls of the neighborhood to participate in raising awareness of the care of urban furniture and of its coastal environment.”
