The Maspalomas Health Center debuts a new GE HealthCare medical imaging system that improves clinical efficiency and patient care in southern Gran Canaria. Coinciding with Canary Islands Day, the Maspalomas Health Center has launched a new X-ray room equipped with General Electric (GE HealthCare) technology. The equipment, designed to optimize workflows and reduce examination times, is now operational following intensive training provided by the firm's clinical specialists.
The implementation represents a leap forward in the quality of care in southern Gran Canaria, allowing for greater diagnostic precision and greater patient care in an area with high local demand, as tourism is served in the iconic San Roque Meloneras. Maspalomas takes a step forward in the modernization of its healthcare system. Coinciding with the celebration of Canary Islands Day, the Maspalomas Health Center, in the tourist municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, has inaugurated a new X-ray room equipped with advanced GE HealthCare technology, marking a milestone in improving the quality of care in southern Gran Canaria.
The new equipment, integrated into a state-of-the-art digital medical imaging solution, was installed with the support of the GE HealthCare Iberia clinical training team, led by Marina Ramírez Pedrosa, Head of Clinical Education for Iberia, and Ildegar Izaguirre López, a specialist in clinical applications for Computed Tomography and Advanced X-ray. The new system not only improves the diagnostic quality of radiological images, but also reduces examination time and increases the efficiency of in-patient workflows, allowing technical and medical staff to dedicate more quality time to patient care.
"We are very excited about the positive impact this technology will have on patient care in Maspalomas. The training has been a success, and the team is now equipped to leverage the full potential of this solution from day one," Izaguirre celebrated after completing the clinical sessions at the center.
