A 57-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday night after being struck by a car on the GC-500 highway in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Emergency services transported him to the Gran Canaria University Hospital.
A 57-year-old man was struck by a car on Sunday night at kilometer 18 of the GC-500 highway in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received the alert at 23:56 p.m. and immediately mobilized the necessary resources. Upon arrival, the victim had multiple bruises and a serious trauma to his lower limb.
Canarian Emergency Services (SUC) personnel stabilized the injured person at the scene before transporting him in a medically equipped ambulance to the Gran Canaria University Hospital. A basic life support ambulance also intervened, while local police officers took charge of the corresponding investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
