Employment specialist Inmaculada del Pino Ponce Santana, assigned to the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE) office in Maspalomas, recently led a training session for students participating in the employment agreement promoted by the Mogán City Council. This initiative, co-financed by the SCE and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), took place at the El Mocán cultural center.
The Canary Islands Employment Service would like to thank the Mogán City Council for its active collaboration in developing these types of initiatives, which aim to improve employability from a local perspective. We also recognize the interest, commitment, and attitude of the participating group, whose involvement contributed to enriching the session and fostering mutual learning.
During the day, a comprehensive overview was provided of the main services and resources that the SCE provides to job seekers in the Canary Islands. Among the topics covered were access to active job offers through the SCE's online office, the possibility of free training through the Catalog of Training Specialties and the online training platform, and the importance of properly managing job applications.
The use of the DARDE (Employment Application Registration and Renewal Document), an essential tool for tracking career paths, was also explained in detail, and questions were answered about official methods for updating personal, academic, and professional data. Aspects related to access to career guidance and referral mechanisms for training tailored to each individual's profile were also discussed.
The focus of the talk was not only informative but also motivational, aiming to strengthen participants' confidence and autonomy in planning their social and labor integration. The meeting took place in a participatory atmosphere, allowing for the exchange of experiences and the analysis of the tools that the SCE provides to citizens.
