Starting this Monday, San Bartolomé de Tirajana has new expeditions with origin and destination in Salinas del Matorral
The vice president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Miguel Ángel Pérez del Pino, has presented the new route of line 8 of Guaguas GLOBAL that has been extended to Salinas del Matorral, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
Miguel Ángel Pérez del Pino explained that with this extension, “we continue to promote the connectivity of all the citizens of Gran Canaria and that is why we have extended the route of line 8, which reached Castillo de Romeral, to Salinas del Matorral to improve the quality of life of the people who live in this area with various daily frequencies, this is another example that mobility is one of the best social policies.”
The Minister of Transportation and Mobility has also been accompanied by the mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Conchi Narváez, who said that “this new connection between the capital and Salinas del Matorral means a lot for the municipality and for the neighbors because a large number Of them do not have their own vehicle, that is why I want to thank the Department of Transport and Mobility of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria for having responded to this old demand.”
The new expeditions to or from Salinas del Matorral on GLOBAL Line 8 have been operational since Monday, December 13 and are the following:
- Las Palmas GC Sta. Catalina - Vecindario - Castillo del Romeral - Salinas del Matorral, at 08:00, 14:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Friday on weekdays.
- Salinas del Matorral - Castillo del Romeral - Las Palmas GC Sta. Catalina, at 07:25, 09:25, 15:25 and 18:25 hours from Monday to Friday on weekdays.
