On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, celebrated every June 14, SPAR Gran Canaria has once again demonstrated its commitment to charity by actively participating in the campaign organized by the General Directorate of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy of the Canary Islands Health Service, promoting voluntary blood donation among its staff and collaborators.
The supermarket chain opened the exterior of the Canary Islands Supermarkets Purchasing Center (CENCOSU) on Thursday for the installation of a mobile unit, where 17 SPAR Gran Canaria employees donated blood, a gesture that could save the lives of up to 51 adults or 85 children.

SPAR Gran Canaria emphasizes the importance of promoting these types of charitable initiatives, which reinforce the company's social commitment. On this occasion, the participation included employees from all areas, including technical, administrative, and cleaning staff, as well as members of the company's Management Committee and the General Manager, Dunia Pérez.
In this sense, SPAR Gran Canaria joins the motto chosen by the World Health Organization, "Donate blood, donate hope: together we save lives," with the main objective of raising awareness about the importance of regular and voluntary donation, a gesture of solidarity that saves lives every day.
With this, there have now been several days in which SPAR Gran Canaria and the General Directorate of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy have been seen collaborating in different campaigns and participation in blood donations and raising awareness about its importance.
