The Seaside Collection hotel chain, with deep roots in Maspalomas thanks to the drive of its founder Theo Gerlach, continues its expansion, allowing it to invest in and redefine luxury globally. With an investment of US$50 million, the company is launching '.HERE,' its most ambitious and exclusive project to date, located in the paradisiacal Baa Atoll in the Maldives, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This new resort promises to redefine the concept of ultra-luxury, emphasizing exclusivity and harmonious integration with nature.
Gregor Gerlach, who runs Seaside Collection with his sister Anouchka Gerlach, expressed the chain's vision: "Our vision is not only to redefine and push the boundaries set by others, but also to offer new experiences to the most discerning travelers. Our commitment to excellence, exquisite service, and unique experiences will help us achieve this. We look forward to welcoming all those who seek the extraordinary to .HERE."
With this $50 million investment and a firm commitment to service, exclusivity, and sustainability, ".HERE" seeks to demonstrate that true greatness in the luxury sector lies not in the number of rooms, but in the unparalleled quality of the experience offered. The opening of this ambitious project is scheduled for the end of the year, consolidating Seaside Collection's commitment to excellence in ultra-luxury internationally, while also remaining true to its origins in Maspalomas.
The new ".HERE" is presented as the smallest luxury resort in the Maldives, comprised of nine villas strategically distributed across two natural islands: Somewhere and Nowhere. The vision behind this project is clear: to offer a more intimate, more exclusive, and truly extraordinary experience. The villas were designed by the architectural firm KulörGroup, and their interiors, by the renowned London studio Muza Lab, reflect a deep connection with the natural environment. Colors, materials, and shapes evoke the coral reefs, the lush jungle, and the starry sky of the Maldives. Noble materials such as fine woods, mosaics, the highest-quality fabrics, and natural stone are combined with subtle elegance and local cultural references, such as traditional dhoni boats and feyli sarongs.
Seven of these two-story villas, located on Somewhere Island, offer spacious living spaces of up to 1.396 m² and feature three or four bedrooms, ideal for families, groups, or travelers with companions. The remaining two villas, located on Nowhere Island, are even more impressive, spanning a combined 3.115 m² and available for exclusive reservations. Each villa features a private pool that can reach up to 61 meters in length, seemingly floating above the vegetation, and its own jetty, allowing guests to enjoy sunrises and sunsets from the privacy of their terrace.
The ".HERE" experience is designed for the most discerning traveler from the moment of arrival. The journey to paradise begins with a seaplane and continues directly to the villa on a luxurious Saxdor 400 GTO yacht. Once there, guests are attended to by a dedicated team including butlers, private chefs, and personal trainers, ready to cater to any individual need. Each villa is equipped with a full kitchen and a bar stocked with premium spirits. For those desiring a combination of tranquility and activity, the sister resort Finolhu, also part of the Seaside Collection, is just minutes away. It offers additional facilities such as a tennis court, gym, the Fehi Spa, four restaurants, and a dive center, providing leisure and wellness options without compromising the exclusivity of ".HERE."
