The Innovation Summit Business Travel & MICE (ISBTM) will hold its third edition on July 2 and 3 at the Eurostars Madrid Tower, consolidating its position as the benchmark event for business travel and corporate events professionals in Spain. With more than 50 confirmed speakers and nearly 300 attendees, ISBTM is projected to become a key platform for identifying opportunities, anticipating trends, and strengthening networks in a growing sector. Among the Canary Islands companies are Lopesan MICE and Binter Canarias.

Expomeloneras, the Lopesan Group's conference center and a benchmark for the MICE industry in the Canary Islands, will be present at this edition as part of the ecosystem of leading companies, destinations, and suppliers that make up the current landscape of major corporate events. Its participation reflects its commitment to positioning Gran Canaria as a competitive, sustainable, and strategic venue for meeting tourism both nationally and internationally.

Organized by the Forum Business Travel & Events platform, ISBTM 2025 arrives at a time of sustained expansion for the sector. According to the Braintrust report for the Spain Convention Bureau, in 2024, MICE generated more than €14.296 billion in Spain, 7% more than the previous year, with 10,54 million participants. The forecasts for 2025 are even more optimistic: €15.000 billion and 10,9 million travelers, with sustained growth in interest in destinations like the Canary Islands that combine connectivity, climate, and excellent infrastructure.

Regarding business travel, 50% of European managers expect a budget increase in 2025, according to GBTA data, reinforcing the strategic value of the meeting. The first day of the summit will be dedicated to business travel and will feature the institutional opening by Juan Cierco, president of the CEOE Tourism Council. Key issues will be addressed throughout the day, such as the application of artificial intelligence in corporate mobility, new hotel priorities, ESG policies, and the digitalization of processes.

The second day will focus on the evolution of the MICE model, with a special focus on events with real impact, sustainability without artifice, and creativity as the key to transformation. Participating stakeholders include companies such as Air Europa, American Express, Barceló Hotel Group, Binter, Cytric by Amadeus, Iberia, Lufthansa Group, Lopesan MICE, Radisson Hotels, Travelperk, and Visit Norway, along with numerous convention bureaux, technological solutions, and emerging destinations.

For Natalia Ros and Óscar García, co-founders of Forum Business Travel & MICE, "ISBTM was born to be a useful and inspiring meeting point. This third edition demonstrates that we have consolidated an essential forum for those who set the course for Business Travel and MICE in a changing context." The presence of Expomeloneras reinforces its position as an ideal venue for major industry meetings. With a versatile, modern conference offering connected to the hotel industry in southern Gran Canaria, the venue reaffirms its strategic role on the national and international MICE map and focuses on attracting future editions of ISBTM to the archipelago.
