The San Bartolomé de Tirajana Department of Festivities and Events has organized an extensive program to celebrate the eve of San Juan next Monday, June 23, in Playa del Inglés. The event, which will be free for all residents and visitors, will take place in the area surrounding Annex II.
The party will begin at 20:30 p.m. with a parade, accompanied by a batucada (a drum band), stilt walkers, witches, and other characters who will parade around the beach. At 21:00 p.m., the concerts will begin with a performance by Pedro Alfonso, at 22:45 p.m., it will be Start Music's turn, and at midnight, the fireworks show will begin. Starting at 00:00 a.m., DJ Toni Bob will bring the evening to a musical close.
As Yilenia Vega, Councilor for Celebrations and Events, explains, "This initiative was created with the intention of continuing to promote the celebration of a very special evening for everyone, where music, atmosphere, and proximity to the sea become the best way to welcome in summer." The Councilor for Celebrations is thus committed to a program designed to be enjoyed by family, friends, or couples, thus reinforcing Playa del Inglés's tourist appeal.
Festejos y Eventos invites residents and visitors to enjoy this long-awaited evening responsibly, taking care of the environment and keeping the beach clean after the celebrations. This event gains prominence each year and consolidates San Bartolomé de Tirajana as a benchmark for the celebration of San Juan in southern Gran Canaria.
