Puerto de Mogán, one of the most photographed and visited tourist spots in southern Gran Canaria, is preparing for a makeover that seeks not only to preserve its appeal but also to promote it more powerfully than ever.
The Canary Islands Government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Employment, will allocate more than €770.000 to improve its tourist image within a six-month period. The investment is part of an ambitious plan to revitalize and consolidate this picturesque port, known by many as the "little Venice of the Canary Islands."
The projects range from the renovation of street furniture to improving accessibility and signage for visitors, not to mention the promotion of cultural events, promotional initiatives that reinforce the port's identity as a quality destination, and the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the Canary Islands' tourism and nautical sector.
With this financial injection, the goal is clear: to establish Puerto de Mogán as a leading tourist destination in the municipality, in an area where luxury, family vacations, and international tourism coexist seamlessly, with a steady stream of visitors who continue to flock to this southern gem year after year.
