The Security Academy celebrates the graduation of 106 new local police officers from 15 municipalities who complete their training period and 68 officers who are promoted to commanders.
The Canary Islands Security Academy held the closing ceremony for 174 officers this Friday in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, including 106 new local police officers and 68 officers being promoted to various forces. The event brought together officers from 15 municipalities in the archipelago who are completing comprehensive training for their entry into public security.
During the ceremony, the completion of the course was certified for 106 new local police officers, who have completed five months of specialized and practical training. These officers will now begin their internship phase in municipal police stations. Among them, seven new officers are starting this phase in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, where they will join their new professional family: the municipality's Local Police.

The academic year included 1.100 hours of training divided into modules on traffic, citizen security, emergencies, community relations, and judicial police. This preparation guarantees a professional and public service approach in each of the municipalities where they will work.
San Bartolomé de Tirajana had the honor of hosting this regional event, which reinforces its role within the Canary Islands' security system. The new promotion not only represents a reinforcement for the archipelago's local police forces, but also a collective commitment to protection and coexistence in the island territories.
