The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council's Coastal Department is organizing a free surfing day for children between the ages of 7 and 15. The event will take place on Saturday, July 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m., at Playa del Inglés, one of the municipality's most iconic coastal spots.
under the motto “Surf, nature and fun”The activity seeks to promote healthy lifestyle habits among children and young people, introducing them to one of the most deeply rooted sports on our coast. San Bartolomé de Tirajana boasts unbeatable natural conditions for surfing year-round, and this event provides an opportunity for young people to get started in the sport safely, free of charge, and with the guidance of professionals.
Surfing is not only a complete physical activity, but also an educational tool that promotes personal development, camaraderie, and respect for the marine environment. With this type of initiative, the Department of the Coast reinforces its commitment to promoting grassroots sports and revitalizing the coast as a meeting and educational space for citizens. The event is supported by renowned schools and companies in the sector: Second Reef, Canary Wave, South Coast Surf, Surf Maspalomas, Surf Canaries, Pro Surfing, Bjorn Dunkerbeck, Pure Surf School, Water Soprt School, in addition to the institutional support of the Maspalomas Costa Canaria Tourism Department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.
