The streets of Tunte's historic center were filled with tradition, music, and devotion this Saturday with the celebration of the Pilgrimage of Offering in Honor of Saint James the Apostle, one of the most anticipated events of the patron saint's festivities. This year, for the first time, the pilgrimage included a moving offering to the saint, marking a milestone in the history of these celebrations.

Five carts, accompanied by their respective folk groups, traveled the traditional route amidst music, dancing, and joy. The carts—three of them from Tunte himself, one from Moya, and another from Lomo de Maspalomas—infused every corner they passed with Canary Island charm, carrying food, drinks, and a wealth of folklore.

The most emotional moment of the evening occurred when each cart arrived at the church doors, where the groups made their individual offerings to the patron saint. As part of the tribute, each group dedicated a song to Saint James the Apostle, creating an atmosphere filled with emotion and respect, which was warmly applauded by the audience.

The organizers called on participants to attend in traditional Canarian attire, and the response did not disappoint: hundreds of people wore traditional costumes, adding a special color to the event.

The atmosphere was unbeatable, and after days marked by high temperatures hovering around 40 degrees, the weather offered a break. The evening was cooler and more pleasant, allowing us to enjoy the event without the rigors of the week's extreme heat.

After the pilgrimage, the festivities continued with the Gran Verbena del Romero, which began at 23:00 p.m. Performances by El Mulatito, D'Music, and the Manny Manuel Tribute "Todo al Rey de Corazones" brought the finishing touches to a night filled with rhythm, tradition, and joy, reaffirming the deep roots and vitality of the Tunte festivals.
