The SPAR Gran Canaria group, continuing its strategy of improving and optimizing its points of sale to provide quality service to its customers, has completed a comprehensive renovation of the SPAR Valsequillo supermarket, completely modernizing the establishment with the incorporation of technological improvements and a strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
During the inauguration, poet Yeray Rodríguez was present to liven up the occasion by singing some verses that moved the audience. Also in attendance were the mayor of Valsequillo, Francisco Manuel Atta, and the official chronicler of the municipality, María Teresa Cabrera Ortega, as well as other municipal representatives and current and new employees.
The point of sale, which retains its 570 square meters of sales floor, has renovated all its equipment with state-of-the-art technology. Among the main improvements is the installation of a new high-performance refrigeration unit, replacing the old independent motors that had been in use for more than two decades. Additionally, refrigerated display cabinets with doors have been installed to reduce consumption and electronic labels, completely eliminating the use of paper.
SPAR Valsequillo maintains its 29-person workforce, offering professional and friendly service in the various areas of the store, including the exclusive areas dedicated to selling fresh local produce in its fruit, bakery, delicatessen, and butcher sections. The store also has a wine cellar, which now offers a more specialized and varied selection.

Through this renovation, the supermarket chain seeks to improve customers' shopping experience by offering a more comfortable, modern space with a selection tailored to current needs.
