Two people were moderately injured after two jet skis collided on Taurito Beach, in the municipality of Mogán, in southern Gran Canaria. The accident occurred at 12:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, according to data from the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) treated a 44-year-old man with moderate trauma to his lower limb, and an 11-year-old girl with a lower limb injury. Both were transported in basic life support ambulances to San Roque Hospital in Maspalomas after being evacuated to land.
The operation involved Mogán Civil Protection personnel, the local police, and the Civil Guard, who collaborated with the medical services and initiated investigations to clarify what happened in this collision at sea. The CECOES immediately activated all resources after receiving the alert from the Taurito coastal area.
