The Arguineguín Veterinary Clinic, located in southern Gran Canaria, has incorporated new electrochemotherapy equipment to offer pets an innovative cancer treatment. This technology, increasingly widespread in veterinary medicine, represents a significant advance in the oncology services available on the islands.
The new device, the BioTex EPV-100, allows traditional chemotherapy to be combined with the application of small electrical impulses. These impulses act directly on tumor cells, increasing the permeability of their membranes and allowing chemotherapy agents to penetrate more effectively. This makes the treatment more potent against cancer, improving therapeutic options for patients.
The installation of the system, carried out by Vet ACJ, reinforces the Arguineguín Veterinary Clinic's commitment to advanced medicine. With this new service, the center expands its catalog of specialized treatments for pets, helping veterinary medicine in the Canary Islands continue to evolve in step with the latest scientific advances.
