The 14th edition of the Gran Canaria Walking Festival promises unique thrills for hiking enthusiasts this year, and its highlight will undoubtedly be the route that descends to the iconic Fataga mountain.
From October 23rd to 26th, participants will be able to explore Gran Canaria's most spectacular landscapes along four new routes that include stops in Artenara, Teror, Santa María de Guía, and San Bartolomé de Tirajana. But the descent into the Fataga Valley, with its landscapes of ravines and palm groves, will be the highlight of this edition.
In addition to being in contact with nature, the experience includes local cuisine: hikers will enjoy a picnic along the route and a snack lunch at Finca Canarias Aloe Vera, discovering the island's most authentic flavors.
Registration is now open for both individual routes and the complete four-route package, which includes transportation from two locations on the island, insurance, specialized guides in several languages, and gifts.
Organized by Gran Canaria Natural & Active and officially sponsored by the Gran Canaria Island Council, the festival strengthens the island's position as a leading destination for active tourism, combining sport, culture, heritage, and gastronomy.
