A 40-year-old man was seriously injured this Tuesday in San Bartolomé de Tirajana after part of the load he was carrying fell on him in the middle of the street. He was taken by medically equipped ambulance to Hospiten Roca.
The incident occurred at 09:38 a.m. on Avenida de Gran Canaria, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. According to the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2, the alert received indicated that a man had been injured after a pallet of beer kegs fell on him.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) dispatched a medical ambulance and a basic life support ambulance to the scene. Medical personnel assessed the injured man, a 40-year-old man with severe trauma to his lower limb. After being stabilized, he was taken by medical ambulance to Hospiten Roca Hospital.
The operation also involved members of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Fire and Rescue Service, who collaborated with medical resources. The Local Police were also responsible for conducting the necessary investigations to clarify the incident.
