The works promoted by the Department of Parks and Gardens have a cost of €547.451

The Department of Parks and Gardens of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, headed by Deputy Mayor Araceli Armas Cruz and coordinated by Councilor Eduardo Armas Herrera, has begun renovation work on the public square in the T-8 industrial estate in El Tablero.

Improvement works on this municipal area were awarded a total of €547.450,73, fully funded by the Gran Canaria Island Council's Cooperation Plan.

The planned renovation aims to improve the entire facility through surface remodeling and the installation of new paving. The work will take approximately three months to complete.

The overall improvement proposal also includes modifying and replacing street lighting, restoring landscaped areas with new irrigation pipes, draining stormwater, installing new curbs, installing bollards and street furniture, and beautifying the garbage compactor area serving the area.

Marco Aurelio Pérez, mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, emphasizes that these renovation works "aim not only to improve the urban environment, but also to transform this square, which until now has been used only for children's attractions during the El Tablero festival, into a renovated and functional space that will allow for the holding of diverse and complementary activities such as events, fairs, and markets."
