A 50-year-old man was seriously injured yesterday, Sunday, after falling from a height of approximately five meters onto a rocky area on the Arinaga coast, in the municipality of Agüimes. The incident occurred on Mero Street shortly after noon, prompting the mobilization of emergency resources.
At 12:34 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Safety Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert that a man had fallen into a rocky area and needed urgent assistance. Firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium, with support from beach rescue personnel, managed to rescue the man, who suffered several serious injuries.
Canarian Emergency Services (SUC) personnel stabilized the injured man and transported him in a medically equipped ambulance to the Gran Canaria University Hospital. Police officers took over the case and assisted in the operation.

The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) participated in the operation with a medicalized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance, firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium, beach rescue personnel, the Civil Guard, and local police.
