The Christmas Squirrel is the most photographed, by children and adults, among all the Christmas decorations
The photogenic Christmas Squirrel has been chosen as the favorite, this year, by boys and girls who want to take photos with it. Hundreds of light bulbs, which give off a captivating light for the little ones, have made this decorative element the most photographed by all neighbors and visitors. The admiration and surprise at the more than three meters high, make visitors stay, almost frozen in front of this figure, admiring the light and color that the Christmas Squirrel gives off.
The city council lit the Christmas Squirrel for the first time during the Il Divo concert last November when the government group pressed the button to turn on the Christmas lights on stage with the famous singers.
Since then, it has been located in the South Park of San Fernando in Maspalomas, in the Cultural Center and, this weekend, it can be admired at the Christmas Market in the Europa Park in Playa del Inglés.
Starting on Monday, December 20, the figure can be visited again at the House of Culture in San Fernando de Maspalomas until January 4 and 5, when it will be moved to Avenida de Gáldar, the last destination of the appreciated Squirrel of Christmas.
